HK Eastern edge Tycoon to take Finals lead

Hong Kong Eastern celebrated the first win in the A1 Finals. They overcame Tycoon in the overtime thriller in the opener. Gilbert Dominic (198-G/F-1996, college: UBC, agency: Players Group) stepped up with impressive 38 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge. Hummer Ian (201-PF-1990, college: Princeton) had 18 points for the winners.
HK Eastern eked out a 38-37 halftime lead. They extended the margin to 2 points heading into the fourth frame. But Tycoon sank 20 points in the fourth term to force overtime. HK Eastern though responded with a 15-7 push in the extra period to ice the victory.
Williams Xeyrius (206-PF-1997, college: Akron, agency: Players Group) responded with 24 points and 14 rebounds for Tycoon.
